The 2006 Bulgarian National Off-road Championship was organized by the Federation of Radio Operated Model Automobiles, with all the best off-road drivers from Bulgaria as well as drivers from Romania. The track was located just few kilometers from the Vrata.

I arrived at the track on Friday afternoon, after a 400 km trip between Bucharest and Vrata and many other hours lost with the ferryboat. The time remaining to me until the track closed was too short, and I did my best to set up my car for the next day. Because the track was covered with very short, trimmed grass I had to change tires many times until I found the best solution.

Saturday morning during controlled practice I continued to set up my car and finally it was ready for the race. In the qualifying round I was in pole position, so I had a good start in the finals.

On Sunday I had a good start in the final and I got an advantage in the first part of the race. I kept the advantage from the first part of the race and I finished the race in 1st place!

I am very happy with my XB8 off-road buggy. It was very good during the competition, so I think that itâ™s the perfect choice for winners.
